2009 Brittan Vineyard Pinot Noir - $45

The Brittan vineyard soil is rich with basalt rock which produces dark wines with lots of minerality and intense flavors. The 2009 Brittan Vineyard Pinot Noir has aromas of wet stone on a rainy day intermingled with crushed blackberries, blueberries with hints of allspice. The bright palate oozes with black cherries, cassis, plum with a spicy core of licorice, white pepper and cocoa. Slate minerality persists on the extremely long finish. This is an intense, dark, rich yet silky pinot noir which will benefit from time in the cellar. It has potential to age for 15+ years.
